So I was watching
National Treasure with my friend K like a couple of days ago and well it was a blah show.. Typical popcorn fare.
Anyway after the show, which we watch at Jurong Point btw, we have to exit by the stairs which lead down to the first level and a maze of corridors. And since it's like 12 midnight already, the doors leading out of the corridors are mostly lock which means you have to walk to the very end and exit via the carpark stairs.
So this teenage boy with his parents are ahead of us and they came to this door which has a sign like this:

Except that it says
"NO ENTRY to shopping mall after 10pm"Then the boy exclaimed, " Closed liao leh after 10, must go there!" (pointing down the long and winding passageway)
So me and K walking behind them came to the door also. Then I was like what the heck lets try the door.
And. It. Opened.
Why am I (not) surprised?
Sets me to think that Singaporeans are an obedient bunch huh? I mean like say an
Alien or
Predator (Ha.ha.) is chasing after the average
Singaporean, he would surely have gone "Die liao lah! Door closed after 10!"
Obediently,
Travis
