of suicides & society

Its so sad to start a blog on such a dark note. Maybe its not that sad after all, half the time I'm kinda like gawking, in a way entertained by the going ons opposite my block.

Well in case you're wondering what I'm going on about, a picture is worth a thousand words. So i shall rest my weary brain, not think of any more crap to write and let ya all have a look-see. Haha, actually I can't resist captioning the pics.

Hmm, whats going on? Its just a normal day in the Jurong suburbs... hold on a minute! Whats that in pink I see?

Ok this is bad.

Hmm what the heck, lets zoom! After all it's the cam's function.

My mum told me all the SCDF officers rushing to the scene in their trucks and whatnots alerted her and in turn she called me to look. Here's one of our friendly officers negotiating with her?

OMG the officer climbed out onto the ledge too! Hmm kinda dangerous without wearing a helmet no?

The guy in the room is though.

Lady who sat the ledge was saved to the sound of applause from the gawking crowd . And again our friendly SCDF officer climbing back.

Anyway I felt sad that I was able to just coolly stand at the window and snap away while there's a potential of someone falling off a ledge.

Btw she looks like a maid and the whole time she was out there in the lightly drizzling rain, she was wailing non stop. So I do wonder what had her employer done again in friendly Singapore where stories of maid abuse are so prevalent.

Oh and the mesmerized crowd beyond the police line swelled to a gargantuan size throughout the whole fiasco.

Strangely entertained,
Trav
